The Thelma Cottage brings to life the charming personality of Thelma Dickinson from Thelma and Louise, the classic film about two bffs on the ultimate adventure. Boho charm with vintage western details, this cottage is the perfect place to crash after a day exploring Garner park or floating the Frio.
You’ll be sipping margaritas by the Frio señorita.
The space
Enjoy the tranquility of front porch sittin’, bird watching, the relaxation of Frio river floatin’, or gorgeous hiking at Garner Park. We are only a few miles away from both Garner State Park and thr Frio River (the Third Crossing drop off spot in Concan).
This area is surrounded by birds, who make daily appearances in the morning. So far, we’ve spotted an Indigo Bunting, Vermilion Flycatcher, Eastern Bluebird, and even the rare Golden Cheeked Warbler!
Though this is truly a place to get away from it all, and enjoy nature, friends, and family, we do have free wifi.
Feel free to browse our orchard and pick fruit when in season, or select fresh herbs from our herb garden for cooking. We have apple trees, plum trees, a fig tree, pear tree, apricot tree, and a peach tree. All of our trees were planted with you in mind. We hope you enjoy our fruit as much as we do!
Guest access
You will have full access to the two bedroom house. This includes a full kitchen, bbq pit, and small porch.
Other things to note
**Any extra guests beyond the maximum amount for this house will be asked to leave. The maximum for this house is 6 people. We will not allow any more people beyond this amount.**
Be sure to bring beach towels. We do not provide beach towels for you to take to the river.
